Wax Tarts – More Scent For Your Money
Home scent products are found in almost every chic home today. Be they scented candles, reed diffusers, incense or the hundreds of other products on the shelves. This article concentrates on one product that’s of minimal cost and great. Hour after hour of fabulous fragrance for cents. The product in question is the humble wax tart.
First you could be asking “what is a wax tart?” A wax tart is a shaped piece of heavily scented wax intended to be used in a wax tart burner (called an oil burner). The piece of scented wax is placed in the reservoir of an a wax tart burner (the upper part) and a tea light candle is placed in the area underneath and lit. The wax tart is heated by the tea light and melts. The liquid wax heats and releases its fantastic fragrance.
Wax tarts are one of the best ways to fragrance your home (to my mind). They are comparatively inexpensive, straightforward to source and offer superb value for money.
I always use a single brand, Busy Bee Candles. I found this independent company about 12 months back on twitter, BusyBeeCandles. They’re extremely active on there offering information, tweeting about new fragrances and best of all publicising offers and discount codes. I took them up on one of their offers and bought some candles and wax tarts. With a offer I thought it’s worth a go. They took a bit to arrive; the company makes no secret of this as they openly tell their followers on twitter that their products are made by hand and take up to 10 days to be delivered.
I could smell the contents of the box before I opened it! Never come across that with the other brands I have tried. I lit one of the two candles I ordered to start with, Baby Powder. Wow, the scent filled my whole house! I ordered a medium candle and I must say it lasted ages. Much longer than I was expecting.
I then used one of the wax tarts I’d ordered. Lime Cooler. It cost me under £1 with their special offer and I only have one word to describe it, extraordinary! The scent from this small piece of wax was amazing. It filled the entire house with the superb scent from a single burner in my living room, no word of a lie! I used it every night for 4 nights lighting one tea light in the same burner every evening. The perfume was strong even on day 4 and I simply did not tire of it.
I then swapped to another wax tart by utilizing the freezer trick. This handy tip was tweeted by Busy Bee on twitter and is a cool way to empty solid wax from a burner. Simply put the entire burner with solid wax in the bowl in the freezer for 15 minutes. The wax disc pops right off. Genius!
I have to be truthful and say that impressed is an understatement with respect to Busy Bee Candles. I’ve ordered almost every month and have loved each single wax tart I’ve tried (and I suspect I have melted them all by now). They’re inexpensive, last ages and have made such an improvement to my evenings at home. I suggest you give wax tarts a try and have a look at Busy Bee Candles for their super range. Recommended!

The 1st most vital thing that you must understand while choosing a front porch design is that it should go with the outward appearance of your drive and the anatomy of your home. So for instance if you’ve got an old house designed in contemporary Victorian tastes, select appropriate design patterns. While building a porch for such a home, you need to use sandstones along the sides of the steps to make it go well with the theme. Style the entrance with sophisticated frame designs to complete the look.
An exceedingly important issue that crops up during porch construction is about the kind of porch flooring one should choose. While it’s easy to decide on the outward appearance of the porch flooring, the difficulty lies in the features to be selected. Overall, it is a necessity that the floor should be robust and strong to last for a few years to come.
Since masses of folks are going to scramble up the porch with dirty shoes, be terribly clear about the upkeep issues involved with the porch flooring you select. A good choice is something that also scratches less, and doesn’t turn slippery during rains. Also, an under-floor heating system must be installed under the floor porch cover in case the house is located in an area that experiences heavy snow during winters.
As for the porch paint, an excellent idea is to let it highlight the features of your home. If the outside walls are painted in bright colors, then select something in a bright and contrasting shade. If you have painted your home exteriors in light delicate colors then you can add a classy look to your porch by simply using several shades of the same color to design the area. For since, if your house is painted white, get white, yellow, grey and other shades, and get a pro to print fragile designs all over your porch!
And last though not the least – keep your porch looking friendly and welcoming. Build wide steps, keep the area open and do not cramp in too many chairs and furniture. This may permit your family and guests to spend longer and more comfy hours at your porch, and admire the efforts put into your front porch design!
